Second movement

White stone, a cathedral of sorts, Medea
roiled a red and golden heat, the fleece gone,
and none left to bury the dead.

She changes masks: fierce, taut, then upsprung
wails while a world apart hands behind folding chairs
touch, pirouette, pause, and touch again.
