Interesting. Or can there be a smallest unit? Or could any proposed smallest unit always be divided in half? Philosphers from Zeno to Leibniz struggled with that one. Kant solved the problem (and perhaps anticipated Einstein) by proving with his typically anal-retentive logic that time and space are not things in the world but are subjective ways of organizing the world. Me, I have no idea who’s right. As Kerouac says, “I’m just a simple poet bum.”
All times are always “present” in some sense, from some observer. But – how long is the smallest unit of time?
