They often silently reject reviews — either because the reviewer hasn’t spent $50 in the past year or because their surveillance machinery detected some connection between reviewer and writer — unfortunate, because I often meet people via blog and emails who have read my books, and I never know what constitutes a “personal connection” to the Amazon search bots.

      Ah, yes, Carol, there it is. Thoughtful and kind. I guess Amazon doesn’t combine reviews from their international websites, even the English-speaking ones (e.g., amazon.ca, amazon.uk). Too bad. I’d love to see your review on the US (.com) side too, since that’s the focus of most of my sales and marketing. But with such a nice review, maybe my Canadian fan club will outstrip my (very small) US fan club and I can shift that focus! 🙂

    Me? A former computer manager, database designer and top programmer at the Department of State for over 27 years.
    Developed, led and managed technology types with degrees up to PHD. Had no college programming courses at all. Just a certificate from a computer technical school and a BS in Meteorology!
